FAQ

What is integrative pediatrics?

Integrative pediatrics combines conventional medicine with evidence-informed complementary approaches. We focus on the physical health, nutrition, lifestyle, and environment to address the root causes of health concerns.

Do you replace my child’s primary care pediatrician?

No. Our practice is consultative. We work alongside your primary pediatrician. You should continue to see them for: Well-child visits and Vaccinations. Acute, same-day sick appointments.

Why don’t you accept insurance?

By not billing insurance, we can spend more time with families, provide in-depth evaluations, and offer services (like nutrition and lifestyle planning) that insurance often does not cover.

Can I still use my insurance?

Yes. While we do not bill directly, we can provide a superbill (detailed visit summary) for you to submit to your provider for potential reimbursement.

What happens during the first visit?

Initial consultations are longer than standard visits. We review medical history, nutrition, sleep, and environment to develop a highly personalized care plan.

What conditions do you help with?

We commonly see families for: Digestive issues & Allergies/Eczema Autism Spectrum & ADHD PANS/PANDAS & Immune support Recurrent infections & Behavioral concerns

Do you prescribe medications or supplements?

Yes. We use conventional medications when they are the best option, often paired with targeted nutritional supplements or dietary strategies tailored to the child.

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes, many consultations can be conducted via telehealth depending on needs and regulations.
